Stop losing billable hours to computer problems
Most small firms do not have an IT person. They have whoever is least busy when something breaks, and that is usually someone whose time gets billed to clients. When email goes down the morning of a closing, the person fixing it is the person who should be billing. The firm sells time, and those hours are gone.
That is the problem I take off your plate. I keep your computers, email, and files running, head off the problems you cannot see coming, and when something does break, your staff calls me instead of pulling an attorney away from their work. One flat monthly price, one person accountable, and no ticket queue.
Built for firms the big providers overlook
Most managed IT providers are built for firms with dozens of attorneys. At that scale you get an account manager, a helpdesk queue, and a contract to match, and a smaller office gets the same bureaucracy with less of the attention. I work with small offices on purpose. The person who answers your call is the person who fixes the problem, and the person who set your systems up in the first place, so nothing has to be explained twice.
Client files get treated like the privileged material they are. My background is IT for a healthcare organization operating under HIPAA and HITRUST standards, where access control, encryption, and documented process are daily requirements. Those same habits carry into your firm: least-privilege access to client files, encrypted and tested backups, and changes that are documented rather than improvised.
You are covered if something ever goes wrong. IT First Response carries technology errors and omissions and cyber liability insurance, so a mistake or a security incident is my risk to carry, not yours. Ask any time and I will send a certificate of insurance.
Answer your cyber insurance renewal honestly
Renewal questionnaires now ask direct questions: is multi-factor authentication enforced, are backups tested, are machines monitored and patched. Many firms guess, and answers you cannot back up put the coverage itself at risk. I set your firm up so the honest answer is yes, and I keep the records that show it, so the questionnaire becomes paperwork instead of a scramble.
Your case management software keeps working
I do not replace Clio, PracticePanther, or the document system your firm has trusted for years. I keep the machines, network, and Microsoft 365 accounts they depend on healthy, so your software is never down because of something underneath it. And when a software vendor does need to get involved, I make that call and sit through that hold music, not your paralegal.
How it starts
- The free Security Check. A one-page review of what is publicly visible about your firm, with three specific findings and the first three things I would fix, written in plain English. No meeting, no signup, and nothing to install. You read it in five minutes and keep it either way.
- A short call if you want one. If the findings raise questions, we talk through them in fifteen minutes. Nothing is sold on that call.
- One monthly plan. If we work together, it is one flat plan covering the whole firm, with no seat minimum. The full breakdown is right below.
